Nominations are now open for the 2023 Volunteer Ireland Awards!
The Volunteer Ireland Awards are the major national initiative to celebrate volunteers in Ireland. They take place annually and shine a light on the immense contribution volunteers make to communities across Ireland. Anyone can nominate a volunteer, and the 11 categories are:
- Arts, Culture & Festivals
- Campaigning & Activism
- Children & Youth
- Environmental & Animal Care
- Health & Wellbeing
- Safety & Emergency Services
- Social Inclusion & Community Support
- Sports & Recreation
- Small group
- Large group
- Volunteer Manager
All individual awardees (except Volunteer Manager) also have the chance to be named Christine Buckley Volunteer of the Year 2023!
Nominations close at midnight on Sunday, 8 October 2023 and can be made online at www.volunteer.ie.
Every volunteer that is nominated will receive a thank you card from Volunteer Ireland. This is so everyone who is nominated knows that their contributions are greatly valued and that someone took the time to put them forward for an award.
The 2023 Volunteer Ireland Awards are made possible thanks to sponsorship from leading biotech company Regeneron, the support of the Department of Rural and Community Development, and award partners Healthy Ireland.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Volunteer Ireland team at awards@voluntee.ie. More information about the Awards and categories can be found here.
We’re hoping to see lots of nominations from across County Sligo. And don’t forget to spread the word so as many people can be recognised as possible!
