How to use our Service
Our aim is to connect those who wish to volunteer, to not for profit organisations who involve volunteers.
Some people are clear on what volunteering they wish to get involved in, and some need guidance to get started.
Our Volunteer Development Officers are available to assist you to find a volunteer role.
Step 1: Register online – no commitment required at this stage.
Step 2: Come in for a Volunteer Information Workshop, if you feel you need some guidance how to get started.
Step 3: Explore what volunteer roles are out there and select 3 that interest you. At this stage you can chat to a Volunteer Development Offier if you need more information or guidance.
Step 4: We refer you to the host organisations that you are interested in.
Step 5: They get in touch directly. Each organisation has its own procedures for getting volunteers started (this can range from a combination of application form, informal interview, Garda Vetting, training etc.
Step 6: You begin volunteering!
Step 7: We give a call approx 6 weeks after we have fist met you to see how you are getting on and if you need any further support.
