Not the most exciting of topics – but a very necessary one.

We were delighted to have Kathya O’ Neill with us to deliver a short overview of the Charities Regulator and Charities Governance Code as well as some practical financial basics for not for profits. Kathya is a Trustee on our Board, a Chartered Accountant and has many years experience of dealing with Governance and Finance in the charity sector – most recently being on the assessors panel of the Charities Good Governance Awards.

You can watch the video to get an overview and here are some useful resources for Not for Profits as well.

As a result of this session and the needs identified we plan to proceed with a panel of Volunteer mentors who can assist other charities around getting registered with the Charities Regulator, perhaps share some experience and troubleshoot with not for profits that are not as far along the journey.
